NMC publishes new Standards for post registration education and practice
The new Standards of proficiency for Specialist Community Public Health Nurses allow all nurses joining the speciality and those already in practice to understand the requirements of the role now and in the future. They will form the basis on the FOHN Accreditation Scheme and Competency Framework.
The standards for education are now being considered by a number of higher education institutes for delivery from 2024 onwards.
