Fiona King qualified in 1995 as a registered general nurse in Sligo General Hospital Ireland. Fiona spent her earlier nursing career working in cancer and palliative health and worked in Ireland, Australia & Saudi Arabia before specialising in Health & Safety and Occupational Health.
Fiona completed her Diploma & MSc in Occupational Health at the University of Surrey. Fiona has worked since 2003 in a variety of different industries such as Car manufacturing, utilities and beverages as an Occupational Health Nurse and spent 4 years working for a large Insurance provider as Head of Rehabilitation in overseeing the delivery of early interventions, treatment, rehabilitation and return to work plans for Group Income Protection customers.
Fiona currents position is working at HS2 as Senior Occupational Health Manager for HS2 where she is pioneering health strategies in the construction sector to improve health outcomes for the individuals working there. Fiona is an engaging and delivery focused leader which drives her passion in enabling people to remain or return to work following illness and injury.
